Chris Duffy

Chris Duffy is an illustrator-animator specialising in 3D, 2D and mixed media animation. His work takes a cinematic approach with a heavy focus on composition, lighting and texture to create a dramatic visual language. 

He enjoys storytelling and narratives in his practice and hopes to pursue a career in animation and film. His short film Bear Hunt was screened at Annecy Film Festival 2025 as part of the official selection. It was also selected for Sunrise Film Festival in Lowestoft. 

His latest film Static has been selected in competition for Best Animated Short at Bolton Film Festival and will be screened in October.

Plans after degree

Chris aims to find representation from a production company or creative agency in the animation industry to work commercially and direct more films.
