Cellan Williams
Cellan Williams is a fashion and portrait photographer based in South Buckinghamshire, graduating from BA (Hons) Commercial Photography. His work is rooted in editorial fashion, visual storytelling and experimentation, with a focus on creating images that feel atmospheric, contemporary and emotionally engaging.
Across his portfolio, Cellan works with a range of approaches, from location-based fashion portraiture to studio beauty imagery and underwater editorial work. His practice often combines carefully considered styling with distinctive lighting, using flash, colour and contrast to heighten the mood of each image. Whether working in natural landscapes, controlled studio spaces or constructed sets, he's interested in how fashion photography can move beyond simply documenting clothing, instead creating a stronger sense of character, atmosphere and narrative.
Collaboration is central to his creative process. Working with models, stylists, designers and other creatives allows him to develop ideas that feel visually refined while still leaving space for experimentation. His images often balance polished, commercial production with a more cinematic and expressive quality, giving his work a distinctive editorial identity.
Through projects exploring menswear, beauty, portraiture and conceptual fashion, Cellan continues to develop a practice that is versatile but recognisable. His work reflects an interest in identity, performance, environment and the ways fashion can be used to construct mood and meaning. Moving forward, he aims to build a career within fashion, editorial and commercial photography, producing bold, imaginative and professionally focused imagery.
Plans after degree
My plans after my degree include picking up part-time work to start raising funds for future projects and to begin saving for other investments. Alongside that, I will be aiming to collaborate more with other creatives and pursue a career in the creative sector.
