I'm Beth Savill and my work is inspired by cryptids and mythology. I am particularly interested in surface patterns and the abstraction of my creatures within my images. My work explores shape through their interactions and throughout, I try to emphasise and exaggerate these shapes to enhance the weird and unusual. My creatures are usually inspired by myths or folklore, taking descriptions of them and exhibiting traits in ways not traditionally depicted.
