My work explores dissent as a cornerstone of democracy, championing non-violent, female-led creative methods as vital tools for meaningful change. Rooted in the subversion of surveillance technologies, I design activist fashion and foster communities that challenge systems of control. This approach foregrounds how women have historically harnessed ingenuity and collaboration to resist oppression. Surveillance typically wielded as an instrument of power, is reframed in my practice by deconstructing its mechanisms.
I create wearable activist clothing that questions and exposes its pervasive influence. These garments become not just artefacts but active agents of protest, blurring the boundaries between personal expression, privacy, and political resistance. Activist fashion occupies a liminal space: both adornment and armour, it invites dialogue while asserting autonomy. This project deliberately centres women’s voices, amplifying their capacity to lead transformative, non-violent dissent. In a world increasingly defined by surveillance and control, I envision fashion as a form of resistance, an invitation to reimagine power, reclaim agency, and create radical change through subversion and solidarity.

Collaborations
I engaged in a collaborative partnership with Amaani Chowdhary and Poppy Williams, Level 6 BA (Hons) Fashion students, to advance the CLO 3D application component of the project. This collaboration facilitated the integration of innovative digital design methodologies into the work, leveraging their expertise to enhance the project's technological and creative dimensions.
