Dance has been a passion of mine since I started classes at the age of four. I began with Latin and Ballroom, followed by Rock and Roll, Street, and Freestyle classes. My GCSE classes introduced me to the fundamentals of Ballet and Contemporary dance, which paved the way for my BTEC studies. During my BTEC, I was also introduced to Jazz and Tap Dance, leading me to my current pursuit of a BA (Hons) Dance degree at AUB.
Over the years, my style as a dancer has evolved and is now a blend of various influences. My time at AUB has been transformative; I have learned a great deal about myself as a dancer and how to embrace my own unique style.
Plans after degree
Looking ahead, I aspire to explore teaching and choreography as part of my dance career. I take pleasure in creating movements, teaching others, and witnessing my ideas grow into performances. Pursuing a dance degree has equipped me with new skills, such as lighting for live performances, editing and mixing music for dance pieces, and marketing, either myself as a dancer or upcoming shows. These transferable skills have enabled me to connect with a diverse range of people throughout my time at AUB.
