Rococo Elegance
Influenced by the extravagant allure of the Rococo era, my final major project attempts to reimagine the grandeur of 18th century France through a contemporary prism. I aim to capture the intricate beauty of Rococo fashion and art while acknowledging the chaotic regency of Marie Antoinette's time.
By fusing traditional motifs with modern techniques like digital embroidery and print, I aspire to craft textiles that evoke the opulent essence of the Rococo period. To convey the project's whimsical and dreamy aesthetic, I have taken inspiration from designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.
Plans after degree
After university, I plan to move to London to gain industry experience, focusing on digital print and embroidery. I aim to work with established brands to hone my skills and gain invaluable industry knowledge. Additionally, I aspire to improve my Photoshop skills and continue developing my craft in crochet and embroidery. My ultimate goal is to start my own business, creating unique, high-quality textiles that blend traditional techniques with contemporary designs.
