The Last Applicant (2026)
Laura, an unemployed graduate, arrives for what she hopes will be a life-changing job interview. But when Josh, a recently dismissed employee, unexpectedly interrupts the proceedings, the interview room becomes a pressure cooker of fear, frustration and desperation.
Set within the confines of a corporate office, The Last Applicant explores the psychological and emotional consequences of job insecurity, professional identity, and the pressure to prove one's worth in an increasingly uncertain world. Through restrained performances, naturalistic dialogue, and mounting tension, the film examines how the pursuit of employment can become a question of dignity, identity and survival.
