Abby Prince

I’m a mixed media textile designer, specialising in digital print and digital embroidery. my design process always begins by hand, creating detailed drawings with a focus on precision and expressive line-work. I then develop these illustrations into detailed, layered textiles using a mix of traditional and digital techniques.

My final major project was inspired by the concept of the wealthy hosting an extravagant garden party, envisioning what such an event would look like. Drawing influence from the opulence of Rococo art and the bold costumes created for the Capitol in The Hunger Games, this collection is designed to radiate richness and drama. Through the use of striking colours and a combination of embroidery and vibrant prints, it captures a sense of lavish grandeur.

This collection was designed for a high-end women’s wear spring/summer collection.

Plans after degree

After completing my degree, I plan to expand my portfolio and gain further industry experience in textiles and fashion. I’m eager to deepen my knowledge and continue learning in this field, as it’s where I truly thrive.
