Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is pleased to announce Rock, Paper, Scissors, a vibrant group exhibition featuring works by postgraduate students from the University's MA Fine Art and MA Painting courses.
Taking inspiration from the classic childhood game, Rock, Paper, Scissors offers a dynamic showcase of multimedia artworks that are playful, political and deeply personal.
The exhibition brings together diverse artistic perspectives exploring themes of displacement, the unreliability of memories, the overlooked and discarded, fantastical recycling, spirituality, touch, and human connection.
Dr Fran Norton, Course Leader on MA Fine Art at AUB, says, “This exhibition is a fantastic testament to the depth, playfulness, and critical engagement of our postgraduate community.
"By stepping outside the traditional studio and into a public, accessible space like GATHER, our students are able to share their distinct creative voices directly with the wider public, sparking meaningful conversations through art, performance, and shared interaction.”
Visitors of all ages can engage with interactive elements throughout the week, including children’s craft workshops, live performances, and participatory games. The featured artists are Kimberley Aurow, Revathi Bapu, Laura Bell, Vikki Clements, Gemma Garley, Loren Tripp, and Clare Winterbottom.
Rock, Paper, Scissors opened on Sunday 23 August at GATHER, located within The Dolphin, Poole, running daily from 10.00–16.00 until Saturday 29 August 2026.
