Building on the success of last year, the second edition of our late-night networking event, Local Light, brings together emerging creative talent, regional industry professionals and creative collaborators for an evening of collaboration and connection.

Taking place as part of the AUB Undergraduate Summer Shows, attendees will explore new work, share ideas, and open up future opportunities across the creative industries.

A night of creativity, connection and storytelling, shining a spotlight on the brightest emerging talent across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Please note: this is an open event and no RSVP is required. All are welcome!

Collaborations and partnerships at AUB

The Spark is a co-working space whose motto is igniting innovation for start-ups and scale-ups. But more than that, it’s a vibrant, future-focused community designed to fuel the growth of ambitious projects across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.

Every year, our campus transforms into the most extensive gallery in the southwest of England as we host our Summer Shows.

Thousands of visitors come to marvel at the creative work of our extraordinary students, from our Foundation Diploma, our undergraduate courses and our postgraduate programmes. The stellar work on display gives the public a unique glimpse inside the dream factory that is AUB.

TheGallery is an award-winning and internationally recognised space and provides a wide-reaching public platform for the arts within the region. Promoting the University’s shared passion for excellence in education, industry and the sector, TheGallery provides a means by which AUB can enact its values: Innovative, Collaborative, Connected and Passionate.

Throughout the year, TheGallery works on a variety of exhibitions, events and projects with AUB stakeholders across the University to create opportunities for students and staff to showcase their areas, courses, practices and work.

The work of TheGallery embodies the University’s promise to promote civic and cultural engagement for positive impact and our commitment to ensuring that education and the arts are accessible to all, for those here at AUB and beyond.

Industry-engagement and our strong maker culture puts collaboration at the heart of everything we do.

The Innovation Studio operates as a lab for creative technologies, a space for start-ups and regional enterprises, and a hub for industry engagement, with a focus on collaboration, entrepreneurship, research, and prototyping.

The studio combines flexible workspaces with access to state-of-the-art digital and physical equipment for creative design and manufacturing, as well as expertise and a wealth of knowledge from AUB’s professional and technical staff and academic practitioners.

We're proud of our alumni and rightfully so. Many of them have gone on to do incredible things!

AUB’s alumni community is a continuation of our campus, a home and a network for all of our wonderful graduates. It's a place to find out what everyone’s been up to and generally stay a part of our creative community.

The alumni community is open to all students who've graduated from the University, whether under AUB or any previous titles (Arts University College Bournemouth, Arts Institute at Bournemouth, and Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design).

AUB Futures supports students at every stage of their professional development – during their time at AUB and after they've graduated.

Through a varied programme of one-to-one coaching, events, workshops and talks, students gain insight from AUB alumni, creative professionals and enterprise experts. These opportunities help them build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in the creative industries.
