Maria Thomas

Year Graduated: 2013

CURRENT ROLE:

Programme Manager, Cause 4

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

Organising a project involving Chinese dance performance in Chinatown and Trafalgar Square. Delivering a module on audience engagement at Guildhall School for Music and Drama. Working with a cross-section of amazing arts organisations across the UK

HOW DID THE AUB COURSE PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR CAREER?:

‘The practical creativity you get on the course gives you the support to try your ideas and work out what as an individual you’re good at (and what you aren’t) so that you can apply this in your career. This sector needs more people who know all aspects of a project from beginning to end, whilst keeping two feet on the ground.’

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE:

‘Working on live projects is hard work but rewarding and the friends and connections you make along the way is well worth the effort.’
