The Access and Participation Team looks forward to seeing you at the next Being a Boy Celebration.
This fun event is part of AUB’s Festival of Creativity, celebrating the young men that have taken part in Being 2026 workshops. The event will include a variety of drop-in activities including creative workshops, rolling Being a Boy film screening, free BBQ for guests and a chance to see the Being a Boy exhibition shown at the House of Commons earlier this year!
The event will be an opportunity for the young men from the 2026 Being a Boy workshop series and their supporters to celebrate their creative successes and achievements, with lots of activities happening across campus that everyone can get involved with.

About Being a Boy
The Being a Boy project, launched in 2022, was a brand-new initiative that provides space for young men to creatively engage with the role of masculinity in their day-to-day lives.
The project has received recognition in the sector as an example of best practice. Winning the HELOA (Higher Education Liaison Officers Association) Best Practice Outreach and Recruitment Award, and HELOA Best Practice Collaboration Award in January 2023.
