A group of six BA (Hons) Fine Art graduates from Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) took part in the Axis Graduate Programme, which culminated in PRAXIS: The Axis Graduate Programme Exhibition at HwbClwb, Cardiff.

The Axis Graduate Programme is an artist-led professional development opportunity designed specifically for Fine Art students and recent graduates.

Across the programme, participants receive tailored guidance, mentoring, and practical insight from established artists and arts professionals – equipping them with the tools, networks, and confidence needed to build and sustain their practice beyond university.

One of this year’s exhibiting artists was Will Sibley, who says, “Working with Axis was a fantastic opportunity to develop my practice after graduating from AUB. The programme gave us space to keep exploring and making in a creative environment, something that has been invaluable to me. I have absolutely loved working alongside these wonderful artists!”

Joining Will in this year’s cohort was Maria Aoyama, Archie Chesson, Dillon Mistry, Subarna Mukherjee and Sophie Watkins, who all spent the past months developing their professional approaches, and preparing new work for this culminating exhibition.

PRAXIS: The Axis Graduate Programme Exhibition at HwbClwb in Cardiff showed from 27 February through to 6 March.
