Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is celebrating the national success of recent BA (Hons) Fine Art graduate, Subarna Mukherjee, who's been selected from over 600 submissions to exhibit at The Graduate Art Show.
A prestigious platform serving as a vital bridge between art school and the professional contemporary art market, The Graduate Art Show offers early-career artists commercial exposure, gallery connections, and sales opportunities.
Subarna’s series of oil paintings, Hallstatt Daydreams, was selected by an international panel of judges to be featured in the major national showcase and its official exhibition catalogue.
The selection follows a highly successful month-long exhibition at The Vanner Gallery in Salisbury, which spotlighted the top emerging talent from over 40 participating UK universities.
“The series focuses on the connection between people and nature, capturing a space where the environment shifts into a dreamlike reality," Subarna explains. "Through layered brushwork and softened forms, the roads, pathways, and figures disappear into the distance like fading memories, creating a sense of nostalgia and emotional longing.”
The next iteration of the exhibition will return to the Vanner Gallery from 22 October (private view) until 21 November.
