Accommodation prize draw – T&Cs

Promoter

1. The promoter is Arts University Bournemouth (“AUB”).

Eligibility

1. The prize draw is open to applicants who book AUB-managed accommodation for the 2026/27 academic year.
2. Students who booked eligible accommodation before the launch of this promotion will automatically be entered.
3. Students who subsequently book eligible accommodation, including through Clearing, will also be automatically entered, provided their accommodation booking is confirmed before the published prize draw closing date.
4. No separate registration is required.
5. One automatic entry per eligible student.

The Prize

1. One winner will receive their first year’s eligible AUB-managed accommodation free.
2. The prize will be awarded by AUB meeting the winner’s eligible first-year accommodation charges, up to the value of their accommodation contract and subject to a maximum value of £10,000.
3. The prize applies only to eligible first-year AUB-managed accommodation and excludes tuition fees, deposits, travel costs, living expenses and any other expenditure.
4. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The winning student would not be entitled to receive a £1,000 rent bursary via AUB’s Access and Participation Plan or any other additional financial support for accommodation costs.

Award of the Prize

1. Before the prize is awarded, the selected winner must:
   1. Successfully enrol at Arts University Bournemouth.
   2. Commence their course.
   3. Move into their booked AUB-managed accommodation.
2. Where accommodation charges have not been paid, AUB may settle those charges directly against the student’s accommodation account.
3. Where accommodation charges have already been paid, AUB may refund those accommodation payments to the student.
4. The total value awarded will never exceed the value of the student’s accommodation contract or £10,000, whichever is lower.
5. If the winner withdraws from the University or their accommodation agreement changes before the accommodation account has been fully settled, AUB reserves the right to amend the value of the prize to reflect the accommodation charges payable under the student’s final accommodation agreement.
6. If the selected winner is no longer eligible to receive the prize, AUB reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Winner Selection

1. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries one month after the competition closes.
2. The winner will be contacted using the details held on their applicant or student record.
3. If the winner cannot be contacted, declines the prize or fails to respond within 14 days, AUB reserves the right to draw another winner.

General

1. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Sunday 28 September 2026.
2. By booking eligible accommodation, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3. AUB reserves the right to verify eligibility and to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion where reasonably necessary.
4. Personal data will be processed in accordance with AUB’s Privacy Notice.
5. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
