Thérèse is trapped in a loveless marriage with her cousin Camille and finds herself drawn into a world of passion and brutality with her lover Laurent.

Based on Zola’s 1868 novel Thérèse Raquin and relocated to a Parisian underworld where the drowned hold court, this film noir story explores the unexpected consequences of an illicit affair.
