During my time at AUB, I’ve had the opportunity to see my costume designs realised with Macbeth, a contemporary take on the Shakespearean play with a tartan camouflage design focus, as well as co-designing a grad film, Ring Eclipse, set in a dystopian future where people are reliant on masks for oxygen.
Additionally, I’ve developed my use of textiles and fabric samples as a reference point in my designs, as shown with the foiled harlequin chiffon I made and dyed for my half-mannequin. This was created as a realisation of one of my La Casa Nova illustrations. This can also be seen in my personal project, several costume designs for We Have Always Lived in the Castle, where I taught myself to knit and experimented with different stitch patterns. I also focused on pushing my illustrations to further reflect the concept of the play.
