Inclusivity and accessibility are central to our philosophy, ensuring that your designs cater to varied student needs. We explore the integration of digital technologies to enhance university learning experiences, always connecting theory with practice.

Recognising higher education's collaborative nature, we nurture a community where idea-sharing thrives. This foundation prepares you for the evolving landscape of university teaching, equipping you to create learning experiences that are both academically rigorous and student-centred.

PGCert Creative Teaching and Learning Design comprises two core units:

Learning Design Bootcamp (20 credits)

This unit introduces six fundamental pillars of effective learning: empathy, curriculum, inclusivity, facilitation, technology, and community. You'll explore how each pillar underpins engaging learning experiences, and will develop practical skills that you can apply immediately.

Creative Teaching and Learning Design (40 credits)

This unit deepens your knowledge of pedagogy and learning design skills, and how to apply them in higher education. You'll examine foundational and contemporary theories, develop critical reflection skills, and explore the use of digital technologies and AI to develop inclusive and engaging learning experiences. The unit equips you with professional skills to navigate the relationship between learning design, creative teaching, assessment, feedback, and quality assurance in higher education.

Throughout both units, you'll engage in practical projects, critical reflection, and group presentations. These activities culminate in assessments that challenge you to demonstrate your ability to design creative learning experiences for higher education contexts.
