The Nystagmus Experience: NYS is an immersive experience designed to simulate the visual challenges faced by those living with nystagmus. Nystagmus is a vision condition characterised by involuntary, rapid eye movements that cause the eyes to shift side to side, up and down, or in a circular pattern.

This constant motion makes it difficult to focus on objects, resulting in blurred or shaky vision. Everyday tasks such as reading, recognising faces, and navigating environments become significantly more challenging. 

Nystagmus can be present at birth or develop later in life. While there are ways to manage its effects, there is currently no cure.

This experience invites you to see the world through the eyes of those with nystagmus, fostering empathy and understanding of their daily visual experiences.
