This project explores how 3D technology can drive the sustainable transformation of New Chinese-style clothing, a vital aspect of the cultural industry and a modern representation of traditional Chinese heritage.

New Chinese-style integrates traditional elements with contemporary design and functionality, addressing the needs of modern lifestyles. However, challenges like design stagnation, high production costs, and unmet cultural demands persist. To bridge these gaps, the project leverages digital tools to merge tradition and innovation.

Virtual showrooms themed around seasonal aesthetics – spring, summer, autumn, and winter – blend clothing with immersive environments, creating a cultural journey for consumers. These virtual spaces reduce resource waste, lower cost pressures for brands, and enable shoppers to connect deeply with the stories behind the garments.

The application of tools like CLO3D and Twinmotion has revolutionised consumer interactions, offering VR exploration, virtual try-ons, and dynamic displays of clothing. By combining digital innovation with real-world market research, this project balances practicality and cultural significance, turning tradition into a modern, accessible experience.

This initiative not only advances the appreciation of Chinese culture but also lays the groundwork for integrating digitalisation into retail, reimagining how consumers experience and connect with New Chinese-style clothing.
