Course: BA (Hons) Fashion Branding and Communication

Graduated: 2023

Ed Earl has earned a great reputation as AUB’s Student Union President for 2023-24.

Since being elected for the role, they've secured three additional on-campus gallery spaces, raised more than £1,000 during the inaugural art auction on 16 February 2023, secured future retail space for a new #AUBMAKERS shop in Bournemouth Town Centre and continually curated, hosted and promoted exhibitions within the local community.

Ed’s role has allowed them to accomplish many opportunities – large-scale marketing, campaign work with local and national communities, trustee and governor roles; and leading AUB as an organisation – all within a year of graduating.

They're also the founder of Salvage Collective, an award-winning, non-profit circular fast-fashion brand that hosts workshops and sustainable clothing to encourage re-purposing and up-cycling. Since its inception as their final major project in early 2023, Salvage Collective has made appearances around Bournemouth and on AUB Campus during market days, offering unique and workshops and wears for a great price.

This project, as well as many others, has won Ed multiple awards, from GFW x Vivienne Westwood Foundation Exhibition as an exhibitor to AUB award wins for Innovation, Sustainability and Director of Schools in 2023.

Ed hopes to continue pursuing their Student Union President role, bringing great opportunities to AUB and beyond.
