The final year students showcased their work at the annual modelmakers' recruitment fair, where they received eight out of the eleven awards. The work on display ranged from a hand carved Viking throne, to a lumberjack with 15 eyebrow expressions.
The ‘Best of Show’ award went to Tom Hughes, for his Bulldog in a Spacesuit model.
Alex Whybray received the ‘Best of Show runner-up’ as well as the award for ‘Best Lateral Thinking’.
Mark Yeo took home three awards including, ‘Best Use of Laser’, ‘Best Product Model’ and the ‘Asylum Creative Prize’.
Other winners included James Bedwell, winner of ‘Best Architectural Model’, and Jack White, who received the award for ‘Best Use of New Technology’ for his model of a cut through aeroplane engine.
