The course introduces students to the creative subject of modelmaking, offering students practical experience and valuable insight.

Course Details

This new course has been specially developed for young model makers, lovers of 3D, artists and those taking their first steps in the vast and exciting subject that is Modelmaking. Each week students will learn a variety of new skills in modelmaking using specialist equipment, materials and techniques which are of industry standard. Meet your tutor

Hello, I’m Sophie, I’m a model maker with passion for creating and sharing my artistic knowledge through teaching. My model making industry experience is diverse and includes working on several stop-motion animated television series, visual merchandising displays for designer fashion houses, film, as well as theatre productions and more. My portfolio includes all sorts of weird and wonderful things from miniature food the size of a 1p coin all the way up to a giant shoe over 18m long! This means my skillset is varied and I love experimenting with new materials to discover their possibilities.
