Study in the UK
Study Abroad courses are for student and professionals who wish to spend time abroad, developing their creative skills and gaining credits towards their university degree, but do not necessarily want to spend 2-3 years in another country.
Students with a good portfolio who have not reached the required English Language level for our Study Abroad course can include additional language teaching to improve their English as part of their course.
About Study Abroad
Our Study Abroad courses are suitable for international students and professionals who wish to develop new skills or continue their creative practice discipline abroad.
English may not be your first language, but we can help with that.
We have a team of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tutors who can help you develop your academic language and study skills. EAP support is available to all study abroad students.
On successful completion, students are awarded a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ and a ‘Transcript of Marks’
Study Abroad Courses
International students and professionals who would like to develop their skills to produce work for a portfolio or interview at university may join our Study Abroad Portfolio Preparation Art, Design & Media course.
International students currently studying at degree level at their home institutions have the opportunity to join our Study Abroad Undergraduate courses and can gain credits toward their university degree.
Students are fully integrated with our BA (Hons) students.
International students and professionals who need to develop their creative understanding of their chosen subject or increase their English language scores before being accepted onto a Masters course can join the Study Abroad Preparation for Masters programme designed to help students secure entry onto a Masters course.
Course Duration
Autumn Term
- 1 term from September to December
- 2 terms from September to March
- 3 terms from September to May
Spring Term
- 1 term from January to March
- 2 terms from January to May

Entry Requirements
- Your portfolio
- A personal statement
- Letter of recommendation
- Confirmation of IELTS score or equivalent
Start Dates
There are two start dates available, September and January.
English language support and/or Intensive English course will incur an additional fee depending on the duration of the study.
