I am a fine art landscape photographer driven by a deep passion for nature and the profound influence it has on human health and well-being. I experiment with and adapt traditional analogue chemical processes to fully embrace our contemporary eco-friendly ways of thinking.
I am motivated by a sense of feeling, space and a respect for our reciprocal relationship with nature. Using a 5x4 large format film camera, I cherish the slow process that allows me time to reflect within the landscape; I attempt to express a deep connection to the timelessness of the land by exploring both its vastness and its intimacy.
I use foraged botanicals to make new eco-friendly developers, thereby creating a physical bond between place and form within the very fabric of the negative and the print. Through this approach I hope to inspire a new generation of analogue photographers that both appreciate the beauty of nature but also feel a deep responsibility to preserve it.
Plans after degree
Whilst considering progressing to PhD level study, I plan to exhibit my work, and explore the potential of book publishing.
