Jinks 'N' Hijinks is a miniseries of eight short animations (collated into one showreel). The project was originally leaning towards a game concept inspired by one of my all-time favourite places – arcades, particularly '70–'90s, and popular '90s–'00s electric toys, e.g. Tamagotchis. 

The project started with two original contrasting characters of an arcade world named Sparks and Lumin. The animations took on a comical slice-of-life focus (inspired by classic 2D cartoons) and each character has its own personality, which I enjoyed bringing to life, thinking what interactions would happen in this weird pixellated world. 

For me, I want to make things that make people smile – it's what I've always enjoyed. What better way to do that than small little pixel creatures causing mayhem?
