Although I generally consider all aspects of performance design, I am especially interested in the development of research and illustrating initial costume concepts – I draw in both digital and analogue form.
Music is a great inspiration for me, therefore I chose to design The Firebird ballet for my personal project – I delved into the avant-garde movements surrounding its debut and incorporated new ideas to modernise the piece.
In collaboration with the BA (Hons) Dance, Film Production and Make-up for Media and Performance courses, I was able to bring one of the dance sequences to life as short dance film. I also enjoy working on film sets, as was the case with the grad film Requiem, where acted as costume supervisor as well as designing the costumes.
Plans after degree
I am currently looking on expanding skillsets as a costume and set designer by embarking on a MA in Scenography.
