Longing for Doina

Lorena Cionca focuses on audio interviews to show the power of sonic intimacy.

Longing for Doina is a 10-minute video installation that melodically recalls a family's muffled conversation about love and distance. The audience experiences a calming, intangible memory at a coffee table by listening to Romanian and reading the subtitles, which appear as an emotional break from the scene of a table.
