Reciprocal Rhythms
Reciprocal Rhythms embodies the philosophy of learning as nature through an avant-garde approach to regenerative design. This scheme gracefully intertwines the natural landscape with Bournemouth’s urban centre, forging networks between the polychronic systems of this locale.
Each element is reciprocally linked, completing and enhancing the other in a harmonious choreography. The scheme seeks to reignite the town's identity through a renewed bond with the land, weaving collective memories of creative community stewardship with a site design and management scheme that merges the boundaries between architecture and nature, embracing the fluidity of whole systems thinking and deep time perspectives, designing in conscious rhythm.
The project was greatly inspired by the Future Ecologies research by Dr Kevan Manwaring.
Plans after degree
