This 2-week intensive summer course is perfect for students aged 15-18 who possess pre-intermediate levels of English and wish to improve their English language skills whilst exploring their creative potential.

Experience or qualifications required
There are no formal academic entry requirements or qualifications needed to study this course. We only ask that you come with a passion for the creative arts and plenty of enthusiasm!
English language
This course will be taught in English. We don't require you hold an English language qualification, however you'll need to have modest to pre-intermediate English language skills.
All students will be individually assessed at the start of the course to ensure English skills are delivered at the appropriate level.

About this course
This course gives you the opportunity to improve your English skills, taught and guided by our experienced English language tutors. You'll benefit from studying and working with other international students on the course, and have the chance to practise and build confidence in your conversational and written skills.
You'll also have the chance to explore your creative potential through a range of immersive and engaging workshops in art, design and media, designed to enhance learning new techniques and experiment with your artistic ideas and concepts. This'll be complimented with a number of historical and cultural excursions.
You'll study and work in AUB's specialist studios and take advantage of our industry resources. Your English classes will be designed to optimise your interactions between your tutors and fellow students, in order to improve your confidence in your conversational and written English skills.
Dynamic classroom sessions will include interactive exercises, guided discussions, group projects and stimulating exercises designed to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You'll also take part in a series of practical creative workshops to explore your artistic identity and develop your visual communication.
Creative arts workshops will include experimentation in drawing and composition, digital art exercises, Adobe Photoshop and image manipulation, mono printing, stencil screen printing, architectural and 3D modelmaking, in addition to experimenting with a variety of mixed media.
Your course activities will also include excursions to places of cultural and historical significance to provide you with artistic inspiration and give you the opportunity to practise and develop your English language skills whilst exploring British culture.
A final exhibition of your work will provide a platform to showcase your talents combined with a final critique. The teaching team will assess your work and development pieces in order to present you with a Certificate of Achievement upon completion of the course.

- All students will be individually assessed on commencement of the course to ensure English skills are delivered at the appropriate level.
- Your course tutors will offer guidance and support you with your English language development, as well as feedback on your creative work and offer advice for your future studies.
- Work produced during the course will be collated into a digital journal for you to add to your portfolio or for future development.

- All students with 100% course attendance will be issued with an official AUB Summer Course certificate detailing course contents and study hours.
