This extended 15-week course covers all the essentials of working with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, focusing on output specifically for designers.

Suitable for adults aged 18+.

Level

Intermediate – ideal for anyone with some experience who wants to refresh or develop their skills further.

Experience or qualifications required

We have no formal academic entry requirements for our short courses.

However, to benefit most from this course you must have a basic understanding of digital graphic design as well as experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, and be able to use their core tools. It’s also strongly recommended that you’re familiar with Mac PCs and the iOS operating system.

About this course

Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop are powerful and industry-standard tools used by designers to develop projects efficiently and successfully. Mastering this software will enable you to develop your knowledge and elevate your design capabilities.

Throughout this course you'll explore Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop applications individually as well as discover how they work seamlessly together to develop projects efficiently and successfully.

This course is perfect if you wish to create digital design outcomes for commercial or personal use or if you’re currently using the applications but are looking to expand your knowledge through a more structured course of learning.

A strong all-round understanding of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop is essential for graphic and digital designers as these applications are the tools at the core of the creative industry. Due to the fast-paced and challenging nature of this course, you'll be expected to possess a fundamental understanding of the tools and features of all three Adobe applications.

This course will see you use the software to create editorial design, poster campaigns, icon designs, business cards, social media graphics and discover all the essentials about and exporting your work for both print and web output. The course is taught using Mac computers and iOS operating systems and you'll be expected to have basic knowledge of image and file management.

  • Will I be assessed?

    No, there is no formal assessment. You’ll group share your work at the end of each session with the intention to support, inspire and encourage each other’s learning. 

    As the course progresses your tutor will measure your overall performance and offer essential guidance and feedback so you know how you're getting on.

Eleni Dimitriou

Eleni Dimitriou is a Graphic Designer based in Bournemouth. She has studied Graphic Arts at UWCN and she has a MA in Interactive Media.
