I am a dance artist from Cumbria who moved to Bournemouth to study dance at AUB. My mam put me into dance classes when I was in nursery school to build social skills and have fun. As I got older, my love for this hobby continued to flourish and has since turned into my career!
I have loved developing as a dance artist and I am excited to venture into different avenues now I have graduated. My most recent work, my final project, was a curated exhibition titled As a Dancer, As a Person. This stemmed from my experience of growing up in dance and how, consequently, my identity as an individual has become so tightly entwined with the ‘title’ of being a dancer. Executing this project was a massively enriching experience for me, I have learnt and come to understand so much about myself both as a dance artist and as a person.
Plans after degree
I am most fulfilled when creating and performing in dance productions; I would like to work as a performer and an artist in professional companies in the future! I want to continue to explore a range of movement styles and new approaches to creating performative based work. In addition to this, I simply enjoy working as a muse for others, being involved in videography and modelling.
