Michelle Gray wins third place in body paint pro category.

Second year student of BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance, Michelle Gray was awarded third prize in the Body Paint Pro Category at the North Make-up Championships in October 2018.

The competition was curated by Warpaint Magazine with Professional Beauty. Michelle’s theme was Elements in which she explains:

“I decided to look into the scientific side of Elements as well as the symbolic and mixed the two for my design. I used molecule models and symbols in my base work and headdress around the four elements of earth wind fire and water inspired by roman and Greek gods and goddesses”.

Michelle had four hours to complete a wig including a full body paint, as well as the application of the wig and headdress.
