Final-year BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance, Natalie Allan, has secured a job working on the set of ITV's Coronation Street.

Natalie beat over 500 applicants to the post of Make-up Trainee, and will start her new role in July. Since her initial application, Natalie has endured face to face interviews with the make-up department, completed a make-up application and worked on set for a day.

During her time at AUB Natalie has excelled in her course, showcasing flair in period hair and make-up, and a passion for a TV and film environment. She has had a wealth of work experience during her education, including working as a make-up and hair trainee for the BBC, ITV and Sky.

Natalie tells us more about her experience: “To come across an application for a Trainee Make-up Assistant for Coronation Street was an opportunity to not be missed. After a five-hour drive from Bournemouth, stepping onto the grounds of the new Coronation Street location in Manchester was a professional and exciting experience.

"Everyone at Coronation Street was extremely welcoming, which helped to prepare and relax before my interview. My drive and determination has been rewarded through success of being offered the Assistant position through working for Coronation Street for the next six-to-12 months!”

Natalie’s efforts and hard work have certainly paid off and we wish her every ounce of success in her new job!
