During Renia's final year, she had the opportunity of playing Frau Gabor in Frank Wedekind's controversial Spring Awakening, directed by Craig Norman. She also really enjoyed playing spurned lover Helena in William Shakespeare's classic, A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Aileen Gonsalves at the Palace Court Theatre. She has had the chance to write and compose original score and songs that accompanied both productions, giving her the chance to expand her creativity and stay connected to her musical background. Furthermore, she had the brilliant opportunity of working with director Luke Kernaghan in assistant directing Beth Flintoff's The Ballad of Maria Marten.
Throughout her studies, she has thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative nature of the acting course and of AUB as a whole, as she has had the privilege to meet passionate creatives and work together in order to gain experience, create art and forge meaningful connections.
Plans after degree
After graduation, Renia will be moving to London where she will attend the National Youth Theatre's autumn senior intake course. She wants to continue working in theatre and stay connected with her creativity while also exploring different aspects surrounding the performing arts space.
