Stripped Back
Stripped Back is a sustainable fashion magazine which replaces your regular read with fully sustainable influences.
Stripped Back will help you learn to indulge in sustainable fashion through resale, repairs, and reworking garments. You can access it via a traditional magazine, online website, or Snapchat newsletter, as well as attending in-person resale and second-hand events promoting circular fashion structure.
Targeted to the Gen-Z consumer, Stripped Back aims to educate people to make better choices when it comes to fast fashion. My research showed that 71% of women aged 16-24 say they value sustainability when making a purchase, yet 54% continue to purchase from fast fashion giant Shein. This showed me the lack of knowledge the average shopper has on how to successfully shop second hand, repair, and alter garments and shop from more sustainable outlets on a budget. Stripped Back strives to better educate consumers on their options and promote sustainable fashion in a gentle way, encouraging small changes which overall and altogether can make a big impact on the fashion industry.
