I am a designer for performance with a wide skill set working with costume, sets and props across the disciplines of theatre and film. My aim is to shape a production’s visual identity.
My passion lies in historical design, ranging from antiquity to the 20th century. I deeply enjoy the research process of a design brief and pride myself in being thorough and authentic to the period.
In my final year on my course, I designed costumes for two grad films, Four Have a Jolly Good Time, an Enid Blyton-inspired tale of 1940s countryside idyll, and Bleach Blind Youth, an experimental film about a 1980s serial killer. I was also props supervisor for the AUB theatre production A Midsummer Night’s Dream, tasked with making several costume-props.
Alongside these collaborative projects, I completed a personal project for Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The Masque of the Red Death, demonstrating skills in costume design, costume construction and concept artwork.
Plans after degree
Leaving AUB, I am most interested in working in a workshop environment in scenic arts or props fabrication.
