BA (Hons) Acting

Abigail Jean

Throughout Abigail's time at AUB, she has embraced every opportunity to expand her creative skills through modelling, voice acting work, and acting in short films, some of which subsequently won awards at film festivals, or were presented at a London gallery. In Abigail’s final year, she performed as Ilse and Professor Knockenbrüch in a production of Franck Wedekind’s ‘Spring Awakening’, translated by Ted Hughes, and directed by Craig Norman.

Following this, she portrayed Lucy Balhaam in ‘The Ballad of Maria Marten’ written by Beth Flintoff and directed by Luke Kernaghan. Both roles and productions have been significant for Abigail as she took her final bow at AUB, knowing she has further mastered her craft and confidence in acting, and so she is excited to continue embarking on her acting career and finding where it will take her.

Plans after degree

Abigail has accepted an offer as a performer at the UK’s most thrilling theme park under the Merlin Entertainment company. She is excited to be able to continue developing her skills as a full-time actor, as well as work in a creative environment.

Aside from the fantastic opportunity, she will be continuing to pursue a career as an actor for stage and screen and will continue to work toward the career she envisions for herself. Abigail will also continue writing and directing projects as these present another chance to collaborate with other creatives.
