This project draws inspiration from the mountainous landscapes of Snowdonia in Wales and the charming surrounding villages. I began by creating observational drawings, paintings, and collages that capture the scenic beauty of the areas I visited. These initial works evolved into my final pieces, where I merged the natural contours of the mountains with architectural shapes to design joyful, tactile, and visually intriguing fabrics, wallpapers, and woodworks.

Guided by the Scandinavian concept of Hygge, which emphasises wellbeing, safety, and comfort, I selected my techniques and materials to reflect these values. To add tactile richness, I incorporated cording and hand embroidery, creating an immersive and engaging interior experience. Additionally, I employed hand techniques such as painting and drawing to preserve a handmade quality in my work, ensuring each piece conveys a personal and artisanal touch.

I plan to work for an interiors-based company as a junior print designer to gain relevant experience and understanding of the design industry.
