As the planet is heating and we’re edging closer to a climate catastrophe it is everyone’s responsibility to play their part in curbing global warming. As an industry that has the power to influence its audience theatre and film are no exception.

Can costume be more environmentally friendly or will being more conscious about our impact on the planet have a negative impact on the design. My work focuses on the textile industry, the impact of fabric on the environment, what the alternatives are and whether they’re suitable for historical costume.
