Bournemouth Emerging Acts Fringe

Developing regional talent. Supported by European Regional Development Funding (ERDF).

Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe, better known as ‘BEAF’ is a collective of artists collaborating with local communities and local talent to develop new work. The 2018 festival saw 500 performers, singers, musicians, DJs, poets, painters, dancers, comedians, digital artists, illustrators, sculptures, filmmakers, actors, puppeteers, magicians, writers, photographers, kids entertainers putting on 100 events at 50 venues across Bournemouth.

BEAF was supported by Arts Council England and the Bournemouth Coastal Bid.

As well as many students and staff participating in creating work for and running the festival, Arts University Bournemouth also sponsored commissioning work from new artists.

European Regional Development Funds

This project is supported through match-funding by the England European Regional Development Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. This fund was established by the European Union to help local areas stimulate their economic development. Overview

The Innovation Studio operates as a lab for creative technologies, a nucleus for start-ups and enterprises and an industry engagement hub.
