How to apply

Before you start an application, read through our handy guide below. It outlines what to expect from the application process and the interview, too.

We've made applying for jobs easier than ever. You just need to register on our secure application system – it saves your details, so you don’t have to enter them again. Whether you are applying for an academic, technical or professional services role, we’ve made the process as easy as possible.

You'll need to upload a covering letter and CV with your application. In your covering letter, you’ll explain how you meet the requirements of the person specification of the role.

Covering letters are an important part of the shortlisting process, so take your time on yours and make sure it is detailed enough to give us the best picture of your knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications possible.

After you've applied, we'll email you to confirm we've received your application. Once we’ve completed the shortlisting for the job, we’ll email you to let you know if you’ve been successful in reaching the interview stage.

Interview:

  • Your interview is likely to comprise a presentation, as well as an interview with separate staff and student panels.
  • After the interview, we'll email you as soon as possible to let you know whether you have been successful!
  • We only have one interview stage. If after the interview you have been successful, we’ll contact you by phone to discuss a potential start date. Following that, we'll send a contract via email with an offer pack.

Starting your new role at AUB

Nearer to your start date you'll be contacted by one of our HR Business Partners who'll email you about your first day, the Induction process and your tour of the campus.

Before you start your job with AUB, you'll need to send the HR team the following documents. The HR team will make contact with contact you to arrange this.

  • Proof of nationality and right to work, i.e. valid passport, national ID card, relevant visa.
  • Original certificates of relevant qualifications
