Access and Participation

We support the principle that people from any background with the potential to benefit from higher education should have the opportunity to do so.

Do you have an interest in Art and Design?

Please note Summer Art School will not be taking place in 2020

We are hosting free and unique three-day art activity session for those in year 9 and 10 (ages 14-15). The event aims to encourage those students who can benefit most from what we have to offer, whatever their background, to apply to further and higher arts education.

Come and explore a range of creative subject areas:

  • Creative Writing
  • Design
  • Drawing
  • Fine Art
  • Photography
  • Textiles

This three-day activity is designed to give you a taster of studying your chosen subject at further or higher education level. These sessions will allow you to develop specialist learning, team building, problem-solving and communication skills.

Applications must be returned by the Wednesday 1 July 2020, and places will be confirmed by 6 July 2020.

This activity took place on 6 July 2020-10 July 2020. Please note that you will need to commit for the whole three-day duration enabling sufficient time to complete your project.
