Widening Participation

We support the principle that people from any background with the potential to benefit from higher education should have the opportunity to do so.

Raising Aspiration

We continue to develop strong, targeted outreach work which raises aspiration and encourages application from all those who have the capacity to benefit from our awards, regardless of background.

Through various partnership initiatives, we are developing links and liaising with a number of local schools, colleges and industry to pursue fairness for all, ensuring that social background does not inhibit access to study in higher education. A consequence of this work has been the establishment of links with schools and colleges so that students can progress from specific Further Education courses to Higher Education courses at the University.

We offer a wide range of opportunities for both teachers and students. Please browse through our initiatives below to see what we can offer you.
