David Lauer produced this beautiful undergraduate thesis film at California College of the Arts in 2013. Born in Massachusetts, where he grew up, Lauer built potato guns, threw whittled javelins, started drawing, learnt claymation, before studying at the Oakland institute.

While at CCA, he met Professor Tom Gibbons, who brought him into the MAD GOD project where he has been participating ever since. He gained an interdisciplinary BFA in Stop Motion Animation in 2013, and graduated with High Distinction in his class. Today, he continues to live in Oakland, California, where he freelances as an animator.
