Portfolio Preparation
The course is for international students who would like to develop their skills to produce work for a portfolio or interview at university.
Through a series of briefs and projects, the course will cover all the fundamental skills required to build a portfolio; from basic drawing skills to more complex analytical and observational work. There will be advice and support available to help students plan their future. By the end of the course, you will have gained practical, valuable knowledge, as well as the confidence to talk about the work they have produced.
Course Information
The first term will cover an exploratory stage with course work in Drawing, Art, Design and Media. The second term will cover pathway subjects in detail such as Fine Art, Graphics, 3DD (Art, Craft and Design), Illustration, Fashion, Costume and Textiles, Photography, Film and Animation.
Students starting in September can study for up to 2 terms. Students wishing to join in January should contact the study abroad office to find out about availability. Find out more information about the course below.
Entry Requirements
All applicants should submit examples of recent work demonstrating existing skills before being accepted on to the course. The minimum age for entry is 17 years. Minimum English language is IELTS 4.5.
On successful completion of the course students are awarded a ‘Certificate of Attendance’.
