Shopping

Being a student on a budget, you can pretty much live a lavish lifestyle, as there are great bargains to be had when it comes to shopping in Bournemouth!

Boscombe is great for charity shopping and vintage finds. AUB Alumni Jamie runs The Crooked Book which is great for coffee and vintage shopping. Love from Hetty and Dave is another winner.

Charminster and Winton offer daily fresh fruit and veg, with some exotic mixes too! If that’s not enough, you can always head off to Boscombe Market where you can get some reduced items by the end of the day.

The other side to shopping is the wonderful world of retail! In Bournemouth and Poole town centres there are a great range of high street shops. Castlepoint is fantastic for shopping and free parking, with supermarkets such as Asda and Sainsbury’s, with Topshop, New Look, Tkmaxx and many more for some fashion therapy.

In terms of staying local and on a budget, Winton have some amazing charity shops which are great for furnishings and the odd bits here and there. ‘Mind’s matter’ is great for a a little bit of everything, from clothes, to books, to gift merchandises and small antique pieces. If you are wanting some cool designer gear there is always Westbourne charity shops which are great for getting a bargain.
