Heather Gatley graduated from the BA (Hons) Illustration course in 2006. After being spotted at the annual D&AD New Blood Exhibition, Heather joined illustration agency Artworks and has been with them ever since.

Her work combines drawing, collage and digital techniques, creating keenly observed illustrations for a wide range of clients. She was commissioned by The Times to create an illustration for their property section highlighting Islington, Kensington and Richmond and more recently was asked by Waitrose to create illustrations for the new Essential Waitrose range:

“It was brilliant,” Heather told me “especially as the illustrations became part of such a big marketing campaign. Seeing my work on products all round the store for the first time was pretty exciting!”

Heather has also worked on commissions for Penguin, Harper Collins, The Guardian and Microsoft and has recently finished a series of spot illustrations for a new Harvard Law Review website. She is currently working on an illustrated map of Miami for Conde Nast Traveller.
