Richard Lloyd Lewis

Biography

With over 10 years experience working as a photographer and art director, Richard has worked for clients in the Advertising, Music / Design, Editorial and Publishing field, clients range from ITV, BAT, Cobra Beer and Toblerone to various high profile acts in the music industry. Lewis has exhibited nationally along side artist such as Tracey Emin, Steve Pyke, Hannah Starkey, Gavin Turk, Nadav Kander, Martin Parr, Paul M Smith, Bridget Riley and John Swannell. His photographic prints are now held in several notable private  and museum collections. Lewis has a Masters Degree in Photography from The University of the Arts London – LCC and a BA (Hons) Degree from Exeter School of Art & Design- University of Plymouth. He is a memeber of the creative practice-led research network Land2 (Land Squared) and exhibits with Transistor group artists.

‘Code name: Burlington’ The Corsham Bunker – A series of studies in the bunker that was built during the start of the cold war, the underground city where the Royal family would reside with a select few to control the country in the wake of nuclear fallout, the Code name: Bulrlington is held in the Permanent Collection at The Imperial War Museum London

The National Museum of Wales

‘Dead Trees’ – Event 01 to Event 06 are held in the permanent collection at The National Museum Of Wales – Purchased by The National Contemporary Art Society of Wales

Professional practice

Richard is the second year tutor and specialises in industry awareness and professional practice, he also teaches studio and location practice.
