Mark first studied at the then Bournemouth and Poole college of Art and Design, qualifying in 1996 for a HND in Design and Modelmaking. From then on he has worked in several architectural practices as a professional modelmaker before moving into the marine industry. After some 15 years working with designers and skilled makers to produce furniture for some of the worlds most luxurious floating palaces, Mark took a break to come back to the Arts University Bournemouth to complete his degree in Modelmaking. Since then he has kept up with his professional practice, designing, making and project managing for clients requiring bespoke interior detailing. Mark is dedicated to enhancing the student experience, linking local industry with students wherever possible to enable them to benefit from the skills they learn transferring into other creative sectors of industry.
As well as helping on the Modelmaking degree course Mark has been a VT for Interior Architecture and spent time at Twynham School helping students in CAD design software. Mark has also been used for WP summer courses to promote pathways into AUB.
